General Motors Co.'s Chevrolet brand is hoping a beloved American pastime will help sell the all-new 2014 Impala.

Chevy will have its new full-size sedan on display at 21 Major League Baseball parks for opening games, including Detroit's own Comerica Park.

In addition, the Impala and all-new 2014 Silverado pickup will be displayed atop the fountain at Comerica for the 2013 Detroit Tigers season. Chevrolet has been a sponsor of Major League Baseball since 2005.

Chevy also is sponsoring a sweepstakes where the winner gets a new Impala and a trip for four to the 2013 All-Star Game at Citi Field, home to the New York Mets. And while in New York, "They'll be chauffeured around Manhattan in an Impala," said Chris Perry, vice president of marketing for the Chevrolet brand.
