Ford Motor and Chrysler Group reported their best May new-vehicle sales in years, and General Motors got a solid boost from its Cadillac brand.
"May car sales are coming in a tad stronger than predicted, driven by a significant rebound in full-size pickup trucks sales due to a recovering construction market," said Edmunds.com analyst Michelle Krebs.
