Ford will unveil its new Transit chassis cab today at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, offering commercial truck customers an option they never had with the outgoing E-Series commercial van.

The truck crowd will also see Transit cutaways. The exhibits are part of the full Transit line that will be assembled at the retooled Kansas City assembly plant.

Ford showed the new Transit van at the North American International Auto Show.

At stake is Ford’s reputation as top-selling commercial truck brand for 28 years and protecting Ford’s record for having America’s top-selling van for 34 years, said Len Deluca, director of commercial vehicle sales and marketing.
