Michigan International Speedway, the epicenter of racing in the state, will have three forward-thinking corporations in Michigan helping promote its two NASCAR weekends in the Irish Hills this year.
On Tuesday, MIS -- in concert with Ford Motor Co., Pure Michigan and Quicken Loans -- unveiled the Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid model as the official pace car at NASCAR's fastest track.
During a news conference at the Compuware building in Detroit, MIS also announced that one lucky fan will have the opportunity to win the pace car in the MI Pace Car Sweepstakes during the Pure Michigan 400 in August.
