Ford has been recognized for being an enthusiastic partner of NASCAR and its affiliates.

The automaker, which has a racing history dating to founder Henry Ford, has competed in NASCAR since 1949. Last year, Ford sold more than 5,500 vehicles to NASCAR official partners. NASCAR presented the award Friday in Las Vegas.

This is the second time in three years that Ford has won this award.

When Ford won the award in 2010, the automaker's internal data showed $200 million in sales stemmed from participation in the program.
