For several years, Ford has been one of the key leaders in smart-car design, implementing apps that sync with drivers’ smartphones to improve the driving experience.

Today at CES, Ford announced a new partnership with Glympse, an app that tracks a users’ trip, including whereabouts and even the sped at which they are traveling.

The partnership will use Ford Motor Company’s SYNC® in-car connectivity system. Using the AppLink™ interface, drivers will be able to share their location with friends and family directly from their car using simple voice commands, eliminating the need to touch their mobile phone while driving.
