Ford Motor Co. and United Auto Workers Local 862 are combining to donate $50,000 to the Metro United Way for the Wayne Vickers Memorial Wheelchair Ramp Project in Louisville, a gift that will pay for 25 wheelchair ramps for local disabled residents.
In addition, more than 50 UAW volunteers have pledged to provide 2,000 hours of labor to construct the ramps.
