General Motors Co. on Tuesday took the wraps off its refreshed and sporty 2014 Buick Regal and Regal GS sedans. The cars come with a polished and more efficient 2-liter turbo engine and optional all-wheel drive.

An updated grille and wing-shaped LED daytime running headlights and taillightsgive the Regal a more modern and luxurious look, Buick says.

The refresh is the first for Regal since it was reintroduced as an all-new 2011 model. It came a day before press days begin for the New York International Auto Show. GM also showed its refreshed 2014 Buick LaCrosse flagship sedan at a crowded media event here.
