Visitors to Walt Disney World Resort soon will be able to design their own virtual concept cars. They can then test them against a computer model or a companion as they zoom in a theme-park car on a track at 65 miles per hour.

General Motors Co. designers and Walt Disney Imagineers teamed up for 18 months to redesign the Test Track Presented by Chevrolet. It reopens Dec. 6 in Disney's Epcot Future World pavilion in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

"With this overall experience, we really wanted to engage our guests and allow them to experience and understand that vehicles are designed by people," Jeff Mylenek, GM design manager of global exhibit and merchandising design, said Friday at GM's Design Center in the Warren Tech Center.
