Chrysler celebrated the production of the 1 millionth Jeep Wrangler on Friday in Toledo, the city where Jeep was launched.

Production of the JK version of the Wrangler began in late 2006 for the 2007 model year at Chrysler’s Toledo Supplier Park.

According to Chrysler, the 1 millionth version is a black 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition.

“With origins that date back to WWII, the Jeep brand has been closely linked with the idea of freedom, authenticity, adventure and passion for nearly three-quarters of a century, and the popularity of the brand continues to soar today,” Zach Leroux, plant manager at Chrysler’s Toledo Assembly Complex, said Friday.
