Jeep's 2014 Grand Cherokee keeps all of the brand's legendary off-road capability while moving upscale and adding a fuel efficient diesel engine.

Already the most comfortable Jeep, new more plush interiors, increased technology, an adjustable air-ride suspension and other options found in luxury cars have Grand Cherokee staking claim to being a premium vehicle ready to compete with the sport utilities of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover.

Its new Italian-sourced 240-horsepower, 3.0-liter diesel V-6 cylinder engine can travel more than 730 miles on a tank of fuel with best-in-class economy of 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg highway. It joins a strong and quiet standard 290-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 cylinder gasoline engine that claims 17 mpg city and 25 on the highway, and can tow up to 6,200 pounds. Every Grand Cherokee also comes with a new fuel saving eight-speed automatic transmission.
