General Motors Co. said Thursday it is adding a Chevrolet Sonic Dusk production vehicle to its lineup in 2014, giving buyers a choice for a more sophisticated vehicle in a small size.

The automaker will show the production intended Sonic Dusk during the trade-only 2012 SEMA Show next week in Las Vegas.

The subcompact features an ashen gray exterior, black leather-trimmed seats with suede accents, a rear spoiler and pearl nickel finished 18-inch aluminum wheels. The grilles, door handles, rings of the headlamps and fog lamps and rear license plate trim also have a matte appearance.

A concept version of the Sonic Dusk shown last year at the SEMA Show generated positive responses, said Jim Campbell, GM's U.S. vice president of performance vehicles and motorsports.
