2015 Chrysler 200C: Better bread and butter?
Price: $30,475 as tested ($25,995 base price; a 200 can be had for as little as $21,700).
Conventional wisdom: Edmunds.com liked the “strong V6 engine; composed ride and handling; high-quality interior materials; slick infotainment interface; available all-wheel drive” but not “less passenger room than other midsize sedans.”
Marketer’s pitch: “The expression of inspiration.”
Reality: Maybe it’s not the fancy whole grain, but it’s not white bread anymore, either.
Much improved: The Chrysler 200 has gotten a redesign for the 2015 model year, an upgrade for the make’s bottom-of-the-line model. The earlier incarnation of the 200 has been called disappointing at best, but it was something I never had the (dis)pleasure to drive. An all-wheel-drive version also gives buyers another reason to consider the 200.
